I want to say thnk you all for what you do. for myself and my fellow inmates. What you do I know you dont have to do. Your actions in giving is from none other than having the love for Christ. Thank you and God Bless you and God Bless you all for extending your love to the ones that many forget about. Please continue to live a Christ like life and extend my gratitude to all that donate for your cause. I know without their caring these simple gifts would not be available to me.
I just wanted to thankyou for caring and bringing Jesus here to Madison. You bring so mich joy and hope to so many of the women here. All the sponsors who ehlp to keep this going will be greatly blessed! It gives some of the women here and hope and helps them to know that God cares and loves us. I was raised in a Godly home and strayed from Him. Now I realize this is what it took to get me back on the right path. Jesus IS the answer. I am so thankful that I know Him. To see all of you doing His work is such a wonderful blessing. It gives so many of us joy. I hope that I can bring Jesus into the life of others as you do. That is my purpose in life.

I wanted to say thank you to all of you that took time out of your busy days and come to prison to visit a bunch of inmates. all of you took time away from your loved one's and showed me that you all truly care! It's hard to find peave in prison but for those twenty minutes when you call spoke inside that chapel, I felt a good peace and comfort I hadn't felt in a long time. The music that was played by the woman was obsolutely amazing. She is very talented. It as very soothing and relaxing. I truly appreciate what you all do. it was a blessing to have the opportunity to be in your presence. Thank you! God Bless!

It's just so awesome that you all care enough for us in prison to bring us a bag of goodies and the most important thing is ou brough us the word of the Lord, which was a true blessing. I know you all touched my heart and many others with the words you tols us to lift us up. The music you played, it was all just so great! I thiank you all so much!
I just wanted to thank all the people involced in the CBB program. The people that came into my cellblock really had a great message and testimony that touched nmy heart so deeply that it brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. I know the onle way for me to straighten out my life and be the man I wanna be for my family is to have a strong love and relationship with Jesus. I really need as much support now and when I get released in Oct 2014 as I can get to help continue my life with Jesus. I have three boys and a wife waiting for me. I have put them through so much in the last six years. I know the best thing I can do as the man of my family is to bring us together as a family of God. I want my familt to go to church together and pray together. I need to find a good church to go to. I need all the support I can get. I live in Portage, Indiana. Transportation is gonna be a problems for me when I get out . If you know a good church in my area willing to help me and my family get there please let me know. Again thank you for your support, and I think God for people like you.
Thank you so very much for coming to Madison Correctional. You all gave a very powerful service, and played music for us so beautifully. Could you please give the young lady who spoke to us about her school a special thank you. She touched my heart in so many ways. It took a lot of courage to speak in front of so many people. She is an inspiration and I know God is going to be able to use her to reach out. May God Bless your entire ministry for the love you shared with us. Agape.
I am 52 old prisoner, who have been imprisoned. For the past 33 years. (Since July 22, 1978). And I wanted to write you guys to thank you for sending me and rest of the prisoners imprisoned at facility, an Christmas care packages. The packages you sent were received by us on January 6, 2012. WIthin the Christmas care packages were a lot of goodies such as potato chips, candy bars, cookies, pretzels, etc. There were also a lot of interesting religious material. (I don’t necessarily subscribe to any particular religious belief, but I am very spiritual). I want you and your organization to know after receiving absolutely nothing for Christmas in 2010 (I was really disappointed) I was really grateful to receive such gifts. Thank you again, and God bless!
Thank you very much for all your gifts. We here in Miami County received them early this afternoon, and all were blessed. It’s very heartwarming to know that so many on the outs think about us incarcerated people in a loving, caring way. Sometimes, it seems like we’d be treated worse than trash if some had their way. Also, there are so many in this environment who’ve been abandoned and forsaken by family and friends. Praise God, my family and real friends are still standing beside me and supporting me as best the can; as is my church family (those in my local church body who follow Jesus). Though my surroundings are foul, God’s good to me and I’m truly blessed. As the Lord leads, your ministry will be in my prayers. Again, thank you for all you do for those incarcerated.
He frees people. The love of God frees people by erasing the slate kept in our hearts of all the wrongs, bad choices, mistakes, regrets, missed opportunities, failures, and abuses of life and opens up a new possibility where none existed before. A painter can’t paint on a canvas full of old markings. Nothing good or beautiful comes from putting icing on mud. Love erases. Love cleans. Love creates.
Maybe not every receipient thinks about the symbolic gesture of the Christmas Behind Bars bags. Certainly, not every one of us is a believer in Jesus. Many do not hear the testimony of Mr. Vega or the message of God’s grace before receiving their bag, but the gift of love offered in each one is still the same. Some women need it much more than others, to experience what real and unconditional love is. With your donations you provide a tangible expression of that love, the love of God, given not in exchange for housework or what she can do but for simply being a human being, a creation of God. Something valuable and worthy of being loved.
So thank you for your donations, for your faith in humanity, and believing that by expressing the love of God, you make a difference because you do. In countless ways, unique to every person, in different degrees, you impact the lives, the hearts, and the faith of your fellow human beings. Perhaps you will never know just how much but God does, and I know the God of love will bless you richly in return.
We were so encouraged by your visit! We too – want to be full time in God’s work – it’s all that is worth anything!Guen and I are on our way to look at a couple of properties near Lafayette – so must make this short…seems God is planting seeds of possibilities! Please use this $ however they are needed – I put some in the offering but wanted to check with hubby before sending more! May God continue to bless you as you do HIS work and as we partner with Him – what a privilege that He would consider us! God bless and please come again.
My name is Joe. I am sitting here writing this letter with tears in my eyes and a very broken heart of some kind. I am a 38 year old white male and a single father of 2 boys who are residing with family. I am incarcerated here in —– County Jail in —– County Indiana. I violated my probation in 1993 and have been on the run basically for the duration until May 29th 2007 when I turned myself into the authorities. The reason for my tears and this letter is my life has been, to say the least, a colorful one. My heart is very heavy and has been for many years. I am caught between two worlds. It is a very painful experience. Every day my heart is with Jesus and every day Satan and my disease of addiction attacks me and tried to pull me back to the other side of life. Life gets very confusing for me almost every minute of every day. There is a passage in the Bible that says something like “My heart desires to do good but I do evil” or something like that. I prayed a prayer in 1997 asking Jesus into my heart to be my savior and to forgive me of my sins. Since then I have felt Jesus in my life very strongly, but I have also felt the presence of Satan even more so than before. I literally feel like a rope in a tug of war contest. I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME. Why won’t Satan let go of me and let me become the man God has intended me to be? I hold on to my faith with the tightest of grips hoping he lets go. I sometimes envision the ministry that the Lord is planning for me, but to just have Satan come take it away. Dear sir please pray for Thomas, 7, and Matthew, 6 – both my sons. I will continue to do the same and also will pray for you and myself and the countless lives you touch. Thank you for just being you and for carrying the message of an Addict in Recovery.
To everyone at Christmas Behind Bars Outreach Ministries for coming to the CCA and bringing us a gift from the hear thats from GOD. I don’t’ know if anyone else wrote u guess but I am Rayshawn Carpenter and I just would like to say thank you. Because everyone is not fortunate enough to have extra food or snacks in this place and the things that ya’ll brought really lighted up a lot of the guys faces. I saw a man that never gets off his bunk up and talking today and that means a lot to me and in my change in life for Christ my Saviour.
You guys just show tha the Lord works in mysterious ways and I would be stupid not to be a part of the blessing that he has for me. I feel that (I can do all things through God who strengthens me Phil 4:13) and that lets me know that as long as I believe in my heart that everything will be alright. I would like to thank ya’ll once again.
