Thank you for supporting Christmas Behind Bars. It is so worthwhile. I know because I was one of these inmates who received encouragement from such a program thanks to people like you. No gift is too small. All gifts are appreciated more than you could ever know. We do not rely on any type of governmental funding. God’s providence and the kindness and generosity of individuals like yourself are what keep us going. We have several different ways to donate, please see the options to the right.

Christmas Behind Bars is in need of a a 1 ton diesel dooley pickup truck. Please prayerfully consider a donation for this need

Copier Machine

There are literally thousands of pieces of literature that are produced for the gift packages that are given to inmates. Every gift package has approximately 13 different free book and Bible study offers. These book and Bible study offers are the gift that has the ability to give all year long and actually throughout eternity, We have volunteers that are willing to do all of the copying that is needed and folding of these materials at no cost to this ministry, We are in need of a new copier machine to make this possible and save financial resources from outsourcing this work! May God Bless you and keep you this new year. Donate or Contact Us today.

Semi Truck Needed!

Right now we are in great need of a reliable semi truck. We have two semi trailers, but we don’t have the truck to pull them down the highway. Depending on the amount of donations we’re able to raise, we’ll determine what kind of truck to buy. We’re not looking to buy a new truck, but rather a used truck in good condition. We put thousands of miles on the road visiting these men and women in prison and need something roadworthy and dependable to further the Lord’s work throughout many states.

We are in need of a reliable minivan for transporting 6+ people. We have ex-inmates who volunteer their time for the ministry. Many of them don’t have a driver’s license. We’re a 501c3, and any donations, including vehicles, are tax deductible.

We’ve recently received funds from a donor in Switzerland to assist in purchasing the minivan. We are looking for a recent model minivan in good condition, which will allow us to travel many miles visiting men and women in prison, as well as churches across the country.

We are either looking for more donations to go toward the purchase of a minivan, or if anyone has a high quality minivan they want to sell at a missionary price, we would definitely be interested.

Refrigerated Box Truck

We are still in need of a refrigerated box truck for transporting food items from our warehouses to prisons and jails across the country. This vehicle will be used along with our refrigerated semi truck trailer. Both have specific uses, and the box truck will give us the ability to carry more food items. We also have the possibility for a matching donation sponsorship. Phone: 1-260-827-8835, Email: contact@christmasbehindbars.com

Understanding the $15,000 printing costs

$15,000 is what is spent every year on paper and ink. Each year we do 45,000 – 50,000 evenelops for packages, and in each envelope there are 13 pieces of printed materials. 45,000 packages x 13 Bible study offers in each package equals 585,000 pieces of materials yearly showing future offers they can send for.

$0.025 puts a book offer or a bible study offer in each inmates’ packages. So the $15,000 JUST goes for ink and paper.

If you would like to receive a free 28 minute DVD on Christmas Behind Bars with your donation, please mark your check or write it in the notes section of Paypal.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry and you will receive a tax deductible receipt for any donations, whether monetary or gift in kind.

Non-Financial Needs

  • Non-perishable food items
  • Bibles and Spiritual Literature – Look though your house for any used Bibles that you do not need/use/want. We are trying to get 8,000 Bibles for our inmates behind bars. Lemuel is able to give inmates a Bible when they are first taken in and before they get assigned to the prison that they will be serving time in. These inmates have no phone calls, no visitors, no TV, no commissary or any other privileges. We are told by the jail employees that when these inmates get Bibles, they cherish them and when they are assigned to the prison where they are to serve time, they don’t cause as much trouble as those who do not receive a Bible. We are specifically requesting used Bibles as many of us have them lying around in our homes and the marked up Bibles mean a lot to the inmates as it makes it more special and they can use your notes to learn more.
  • We are always in need of adult clothing and shoes for our inmates once they get released from prison.
